Six Flags---WOOHOO!

One of my favorite places as a little girl was Marine World Africa USA (which I called Marine World Apricot USA according to my parents.....awwwwww). It was like Sea World in San Diego but not quite as good (or so I'm told). Anyway, Marine World is still there only apparently Six Flags bought it and it's now Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and we took the kids this week. They basically ripped out almost all of the cool animal exhibits and put in kick-butt roller coasters. But there are still some remnents of the old Marine World left, a cool shark exhibit, a dolphin show, one lonely walrus who swims around a big tank by himself. It was a far cry from the place I remember and honestly I was a bit saddened by the loss of a great animal park but...........of course the kids had a BLAST!
